Galveston ISD wins multiple awards at Texas School PR Association Conference
Communications Department picks up 22 awards, five “Best of Category” wins among school districts under 10,000 students

GALVESTON, Texas – The Galveston ISD Communications Department collected several Texas School PR Association (TSPRA) Star awards at the annual TSPRA conference held in Austin, Texas this week. The district won a total of 22 awards (11 gold, 11 silver). Five of those awards additionally won “Best in Category” for work done in the state of Texas for a district its size (under 10,000 students).

“We are very proud our peers and colleagues across the state of Texas recognized the hard work we put in over the last year,” said Johnston Farrow, District Communications Specialist. “It truly was a team effort by many individuals across multiple schools and organizations. It’s a great sign that staff has bought into the high professional standards we expect from them when it comes to informing the community about the great things happening in Galveston.”
