PUBLIC INVITED TO HEAR PLANS FOR LOMAX PARK RENOVATIONS

La Porte, Texas— The La Porte Livestock Show and Rodeo Association Board will hold their monthly March Board Meeting at the La Porte City Hall, 604 W. Fairmont Parkway, on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting at City Hall is to invite those interested members of the public as well as the Association, to receive information about the proposed Lomax Park Improvements, from the Huitt-Zollars Design Team. Huitt-Zollars has been retained by the City of La Porte to prepare the plans and specifications for a new park building, some proposed renovations to the existing Arena, landscaping for the park, and other amenities. All interested citizens and Association members are urged to attend this important meeting.

The Huitt-Zollars Design Team will present the proposed design changes at the beginning of the meeting and answer questions that may arise, regarding the new building and park improvements. The first part of the meeting will be open to the public for this purpose. After the report, which is expected to last approximately one hour, there will be a short intermission and then the LPLSRA Board will conduct its regular meeting.
