Galveston, Texas - The Galveston Chamber of Commerce will produce their 2nd Annual Membership Benefits Expo on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Moody Gardens Convention Center – Floral A Ballroom.  The doors will be open to the business community from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., and the event is open for both chamber members and potential new members.  Introduced last year in September, the Galveston Chamber of Commerce Membership Benefits Expo was recognized by the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives as the “Program of the Year” in the category of Business Development.  Flyer

The Membership Benefits Expo is designed to keep chamber members informed about the benefits they receive for their annual investment.  It is also an excellent opportunity for businesses who are not current members to discover the many programs and services the Galveston Chamber of Commerce can provide them.  The chamber staff and volunteers will be present to meet with business representatives and guide them through what the chamber can offer their company to help them grow and succeed.  Gina Spagnola, President of the Galveston Chamber of Commerce commented, “When your business joins the Galveston Chamber of Commerce, you are becoming part of the strongest voice for business in Galveston.”

The Galveston Chamber of Commerce currently represents more than 850 members, and their mission is To Promote and Advocate for Business.  The chamber is an organization committed to action through carefully planned programs that include economic development, community development, public affairs and legislative issues.  To inquire about membership or the chamber’s upcoming Membership Benefits Expo, please contact Erin Kay, Membership Development Director for the Galveston Chamber, at ekay@galvestonchamber.com or by phone at (409) 763-5326 ext. 150.
