Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to execute an order vacating the Helena Road Extension from State Highway 366 to Helena Avenue.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to execute a quitclaim deed for the Helena Road Extension property.

A public hearing was held prior to consideration of the abandonment of the street right-of-way.

The commissioners court tabled action on a recommendation by the Jefferson County Tourism Committee to allocate a total of $5,500 in Hotel Occupancy Tax funds for tennis tournament bid fees for the Andy Roddick Foundation.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to accept an offer for a term contract with ICS Jail Supplies, Inc.; Robinson Textiles; Bob Barker; Charm-Tex; and Tabb Textiles Co. for the purchase of inmate clothing and supplies.

The commissioners court tabled action regarding a burn ban order for the county.  No burn ban is currently in effect.
