Foundation Budgets $60,000 for CCISD Teacher Grants
The Clear Creek Education Foundation is encouraging CCISD teachers to submit their innovative ideas to the foundation’s Teacher Innovative Grant program. The foundation has budgeted at least $60,000 to fund grants for 2012. Grant recipients will be notified in May when the foundation’s surprize patrol visits CCISD campuses to let teachers know their grant is being funded. A link to the online grant application is available from the foundation’s website (clearcreekeducationfoundation.org) and the deadline for teachers to be considered for this grant cycle is March 30, 2012.
In 2011 the foundation was able to award over $60,000 in grants that will impact up to 15,000 CCISD. Since the foundation’s inception in 1992, the foundation has funded almost $1 Million in Teacher Innovative Grants. The foundation would like to ask the public and business community to consider funding further grants directly or by donating to the foundation. All donors would be invited to join the foundation on the surprize patrol to present the grant directly to the teacher.
Foundation board members and donors enjoyed the 2011 surprize patrol which awarded over $60,000 worth of grants which will have a big impact on CCISD students.
