Annual RiverFest to begin on Thursday, May 3

PORT NECHES ‐ Officials are getting ready for the Annual Riverfest at Port Neches Park May 3rd – 6th brought to you by Neches Federal Credit Union.

The Festival will have a variety of Food Vendors as well as Arts and Crafts Vendors and the famous Mighty Thomas Carnival for a ton of family fun. On Saturday, May 5th at the Pavilion there will be lots of local talent performing. Also, the Annual Classic Car and Motorcycle Show will be in the park.
Sunday, May 6th the 2012 Mother of the Year will be announced! Other scheduled events are the Pet Show, Treasure Hunt, 2‐day Fishing Tournament, PN Mother of the Year Contest, Horseshoe & Washer Tournament, Veteran’s Parade and a Fireworks Display.

Live Entertainment on the main stage will include Six Market Blvd on Thursday night, and Stoney LaRue on Friday night. Saturday, Bart Crow and Reckless Kelly will be performing. Our Entertainment this year is brought to you by Your Neighborhood Chevy Dealers and Budweiser.

The Chamber will also present “Thunder on the Neches” power boat races produced by John Schubert with Southern Professional Outboard Racing Tours.

Races will start Saturday, May 5th at 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and continue Sunday, May 6th from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

There will be an all‐inclusive pass for the boat races and entertainment this year. The entire River Front will be fenced off and the purchase of a wristband gets you in the gate the ENTIRE weekend, Thursday – Saturday!


Sunday will be free admission. Prices will be as follows:
General Admission ‐ $5
* Children under age 3 are Free
Wristbands will be pre‐sold from April 19‐May 2nd to help you avoid the lines at the festival.
The following areas are NOT inside the gate, and will remain FREE to the public:

The Pavilion, All Vendors – Food and Arts & Crafts, Car & Motorcycle show, Port Neches Park, Tugboat
Island, Fun Run, and Boat Show

We will also have free parking with trolley transportation.
