TFB AGFUND endorses Medina for Texas Supreme Court
(WACO) – Texas Farm Bureau Friends of Agriculture Fund (AGFUND), Inc. has endorsed David Medina for the Texas Supreme Court, Place 4, in the May 29 Republican primary.
“Justice Medina has proven his value on the Texas Supreme Court since he was first appointed in 2004,” said Texas Farm Bureau and AGFUND President Kenneth Dierschke. “His landmark decision in Guitar Holding v. Hudspeth County Underground Water Conservation District helps protect all property owners from unfair groundwater district regulation.”
Gov. Rick Perry appointed Justice Medina to the Court in 2004. He was elected for a full term in 2006. Previously, he was the governor’s general counsel and a former Harris County state district judge. Before he was a judge, Medina was the associate general counsel for Cooper Industries. He received a law degree from South Texas College of Law.
