PRECINCT TWO COMMISSIONER CELEBRATES OPENING OF $16 MILLION REPSDORPH ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Jack Morman joined Seabrook Mayor Glenn Royal and El Lago Mayor Brad Emel on Tuesday, May 1st for a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially mark the opening of a $16 million improvement project to Repsdorph Road. The ribbon cutting ceremony was sponsored by the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce and emceed by the Chairman of the Board Joe Mayer.
The project took thirteen months to complete and added two new lanes to the existing road including underground utilities and new sidewalks. El Lago and Seabrook participated in funding the project, between NASA Parkway to Bayport Blvd. (Hwy. 146).
“I’m very proud to work with our partner cities and mayors on thoroughfare and road improvements. We all have limited budgets but are able to accomplish much more by working together to serve our fellow constituents,” said Commissioner Morman.
“There also is an important link to Lakeside Drive with a circle to allow thru traffic to Red Bluff Road,” said the commissioner, “This is very important for good traffic flow throughout southeast Harris County.”
