The Texas City City Commission on Wednesday voted unanimously to approve the purchase of 34 police radios for the police department from Command Communications Company for a total of $70,799.

The radios will be purchased through the city's Capital Equipment Replacement Fund and was approved as part of the FY2012 budget.

The city commission voted to approve the third and final reading of an amendment to the city's Code of Ordinances regarding wreckers.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Commissioner Dedrick Johnson, Sr. absent.  Agenda

During the meeting, the city commission issued a proclamation to the Texas State Society of the United States Daughters of 1812 to celebrate the War of 1812 Centennial.
