Utility line students
participate in ‘rodeo’

BEAUMONT – Lamar Institute of Technology utility line students will participate in the annual Lineman Rodeo on Friday, May 4, at the Frank Robinson Center in Silsbee.

The contest will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

Students will showcase their skills in six events: hurt man rescue, egg climb, insulator change, arrestor change, rigging and a surprise contest. Judging is based on safety, proper work procedure and time.

The public is invited.
