Thursday, May 03, 2012

Electric Theatre Radio Hour Host George Douglas Lee announces the opening of the G.Lee Gallery at 2215 Post Office. This newest addition to Galveston’s emerging fine arts arena is located in the heart of historic downtown Galveston.

View George’s Art!

Lee’s art celebrates the beauty, atmosphere and nature of Galveston Island, as well as his vivid acrylics and watercolors in a stunning variety of genres, subject matter and styles. The gallery also presents Giclee prints of Lee’s original paintings. In addition to fine arts, the Gallery also stocks a series of children’s books written and illustrated by Lee, original music cd’s and stationery featuring his designs. Lee will also conduct art classes for children and adults, and the Gallery will be home to a variety of events.

It’s also the place to sign up for the Laughing Boy Comedy History Tour in the downtown area.

Known as the Renaissance Man, George Douglas Lee is a fine artist, musician, internationally published playwright, screenwriter (“Laughing Boy” film), art and acting instructor and host of the popular Electric Theatre Radio Hour.

If you’d like to purchase large format paintings, Giclee or a unique memento of your trip to Galveston, designed by a Galvestonian, don’t miss the G.Lee Gallery. Simply viewing the artwork and being on the premises is an entertaining experience.

George Douglas Lee is owner and resident artist. Lynette Haaga is Gallery Director.
