Viva Sugar Land!

2012 Spring Concerts in the Park

When:
Sunday, May 6, from 5-7 p.m.

Where:
Oyster Creek Park, 4033 Highway 6 South

About:
Enrich Sunday afternoon with colorful dresses and festive instruments as Sugar Land celebrates Cinco de Mayo! Enjoy folkloric ballet dance performances from Las Americas Ballet Folklorico and music from Mariachi Hermosura Juvenil.

Take a peek at the captivating Hispanic heritage and culture showcases of Mexican, Spanish, Central American and South American dance pieces, and journey through traditions, customs and legends.

Children’s activities will include a craft station, piñata area, clown performances, magic acts, caricature art and a tattoo station.
Onsite refreshments will be available for purchase by the First Colony Lions’ Club and Lemonade Day Houston’s Alpha Charity League.

Future concerts at Oyster Creek Park include:
May 13 Mother’s Day Big Band & Swing

The final concert will be held at Eldridge Park, 2511 Eldridge Road:
May 20* Peace, Love and Classic Cars Classic Rock n’ Roll
