Charges have been filed against three suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of two others at 8304 South Course Drive about 10:20 p.m. on September 14, 2011.

The suspects, Justin McGee (b/m, DOB: 7-5-91), Arthur McSwain (b/m, DOB: 7-10-84) and Anthony Avalos (H/m, DOB: 4-6-87), are charged with capital murder in the 262nd State District Court.  Photos of all three suspects are attached to this news release.

The victim, Chajioke Ukegbu, 21, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The two other wounded males were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants G. Whitehead, C. Cegielski, J. Brooks and Officer R. Lujan reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found three males wounded.

Further investigation determined Mr. Ukegbu had been shot during a robbery in which McGee, McSwain and Avalos were identified as suspects.

Last Thursday (May 3), all three suspects were arrested without incident.
