Green on Teacher Appreciation Week

Houston – Today marks the beginning of Teacher Appreciation Week.  In tribute, Congressman Green recorded the following video message to honor and thank the teachers of our nation.  The video can be accessed at http://green.house.gov/video/rep-green-teacher-appreciation-week. 

Rep. Green states, “This week, I hope you’ll join me in honoring and thanking the millions of teachers in our nation during Teacher Appreciation Week.  Teachers are the unsung heroes in our communities, and I’d especially like to thank the teachers of the 29th District.  My favorite teacher is my wife, Helen Green.  She was a math teacher in Aldine ISD for 26 years – and also tutored me to pass college calculus – so I’ve seen first-hand the dedication, patience, and sacrifice that teachers selflessly make every day.  So to all of our retired, current, and future teachers – we thank you for the invaluable service you provide, and for your commitment to the future of our youth and the success of our nation.”
