Texas Association of Business Endorses Dr. Greg Bonnen

The Texas Association of Business’ Business and Commerce Political Action Committee has endorsed Dr. Greg Bonnen for House District 24.

“Dr. Bonnen, as a physician and business owner, knows that Obamacare is bad for Texas businesses. He has already fought against the federal government’s destructive anti-jobs maneuvers – and won. We know we can rely on Dr. Bonnen to advocate for Texas jobs and businesses to keep our economy moving in the right direction,” said Bill Hammond, President and CEO of the Texas Association of Business.

“We need a strong business climate in order to continue growing our environment. As a business owner, I understand the importance of low taxes and regulations on our small businesses. I understand what it takes to make payroll, balance a budget, and keep people working, and will bring that perspective to the Legislature as I work with the Texas Association of Business and others to advance pro-business measures,” Dr. Bonnen said.

Support for Dr. Bonnen’s campaign continues to grow, including endorsements from Texas Right to Life, Young Conservatives of Texas, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Texas Association of Realtors, Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, Texas Medical Association, Texas Hospital Association, and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.

Founded in 1922, the Texas Association of Business is a broad-based, bipartisan organization representing more than 3,000 small and large Texas employers and 200 local chambers of commerce.

In addition to being a successful neurosurgeon and founding partner of Houston Physicians’ Hospital, Dr. Bonnen is the founder and President of the Texas Brain and Spine Center. A member of the Heritage Bank Board of Directors, he also devotes his time to missions with Builders without Borders of Texas, Friendswood Community Church, and the Medical Strategic Network. Dr. Bonnen and his wife, Kim, have lived in Friendswood for more than a decade with their two daughters.
