Reward Offered for Fugitive with Aryan Brotherhood Ties
Known to have more than 50 aliases and arrests in several states

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety has added Paul Joseph Borreson, 56, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive list, and a $7,500 cash reward is being offered for information leading to his capture. He is affiliated with the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas gang and has been arrested 46 times in at least 11 states. All tips can be offered anonymously.

Borreson, whose last known address was San Angelo, has a long history of criminal activity dating back to 1973. He is a known drug abuser, and has used multiple aliases and other falsified information to commit fraud and evade capture.  In all, authorities know of 51 aliases.  Warrants have been issued for his arrest in South Dakota (Larceny), Minnesota (Forgery) and Indiana (Fraud), as well as Probation Violation, Parole Violation and Larceny in Texas. In the past, he has worked as a laborer and in warehouse jobs.

Borreson is six feet tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has multiple tattoos, including a peace sign on the outside of his right forearm, and a flag on his outside upper left arm. He has cut scars on his inside left knee and inside right forearm, and a surgery scar on his lower back. For more information, please view his wanted poster at: http://www.dps.texas.gov/Texas10MostWanted/fugitiveDetails.aspx?id=131.

Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.  There are four different ways to provide anonymous tips:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Text the letters DPS—followed by your tip—to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

All calls, texts, e-mails and Facebook messages are anonymous.

DPS investigators work with local law enforcement agencies to select fugitives for the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and Sex Offender lists. You can find the current lists—with photos—on the DPS website at http://www.dps.texas.gov/texas10mostwanted/

Do not attempt to apprehend these fugitives yourself; they are considered armed and dangerous.
