UTMB Health hosts community health fair Saturday

GALVESTON — The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston will host a community health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at the UTMB Health Specialty Care Center at Victory Lakes, 2240 Gulf Freeway South in League City.

The community health fair brings together UTMB volunteers and medical experts to inspire all of us to lead healthier lives.

In addition to live stage entertainment, refreshments, demonstrations and how-to clinics, activities offered at this year’s fair include:

· Free health screenings (including vascular and glucose screenings)

· Glaucoma screenings

· Blood center donor drive

· Tours of UTMB Health locations

· Children’s activities and a petting zoo

· Zumba and CrossFit demonstrations
