ACC Respiratory Care Award Ceremony

Alvin Community College Respiratory Care students received their pin for finishing the program during a ceremony on May 8 at the Nolan Ryan Center.

Ten graduates completed the program this year. Awards also were given to Catheryn Schattel of Alvin, for Academic Excellence; Jennifer Severson, of Alvin, for Clinical Excellence and Jasmin McAlpine, of Pearland for perfect clinical attendance.

Schattel also received the Chris Mosier Memorial Scholarship for $300.

Schattel, Severson and student Jan Oliver Jaime, of Lake Jackson received nominations to join the Lambda Beta Honor Society.

The Respiratory Care also named Memorial Hermann Southeast and St. Luke’s as its Best Clinical Sites for the year.
