Beaumont Children’s Museum Opens Its Doors for a Sneak Peek
Be one of the first to see the inside of the Beaumont Children’s Museum. On Monday, May 21, 2012 at 6 p.m. the Board of Directors of the Beaumont Children’s Museum will host its annual meeting in its future home - the Oil City Brass Building at the Corner of Crockett & Neches in Downtown Beaumont.
During this “Evening of Discovery” savory appetizers and desserts will be served but best of all Michael Hoke, Shangri La Botanical Gardens Executive Director and incoming Beaumont Children’s Museum Board member, along with a team of volunteers will dazzle attendees with a large collection of discoveries for all ages. The interactive science exhibits will give a “feel” for what kids will experience when the Beaumont Children’s Museum opens its doors.
The Board will also share information about its collaboration with Rotary who will be building the first handicapped accessible playground adjacent to the Beaumont Children’s Museum.
The Beaumont Children’s Museum is a signature project of the Junior League of Beaumont and has been in the planning stages for more than seven years.
The annual meeting coincides with the opening of the City’s new event center and proposed skate park. Although this meeting is an invitation-only event, all members of the media are invited and encouraged to attend.
Incoming Beaumont Children’s Museum President, Allison Getz is available for interviews by calling 409-351-3882.
