United Way Funds Connect Transit to Assist League City Public Transportation Program

Galveston, Texas - Connect Transit is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors of United Way of Galveston County Mainland have approved an additional $8,500 to support the continuance of public transportation options in the League City area.     The United Way of Galveston County Mainland has been a long standing partner of Connect Transit, and the communities we serve; and we are most appreciative of their approval of this additional funding support.  

Connect Transit is the public transportation authority for Galveston County Mainland and Brazoria County; and is a community service operated by The Gulf Coast Center.  Connect Transit provides both demand response and fixed-route transportation services to the general public within Galveston and Brazoria Counties.   To request a reservation for demand response service or for information call 1-800-266-2320 or 409-945-0820.   Office days and hours of service are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Additional information, including bus schedules, can also be accessed at www.GulfCoastCenter.org.
