June Business Morning Brew
The Seabrook Economic Development Corporation will hold a Business Morning Brew on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at the Seabrook Volunteer Fire Department, 1850 Meyer.
This will be the second Business Morning Brew hosted by the SEDC. The first was held in February, which was geared to answer questions for businesses in Old Seabrook.
The June Business Morning Brew will have a presentation by Economic Director Paul Chavez and Community Development Director Sean Landis about the TxDOT Business Relocation Assistance Program. Both Chavez and Landis attended a special class on the assistance program and would like to share what they learned with businesses that will be affected by the expansion project.
Chavez will also open a discussion to receive feedback from the business community on the development of a storefront façade grant/loan program. The hope is to improve the appearance of Seabrook storefronts.
City Manager Kelly Templin will give an update on the Waterfront Drive Project and Marketing Manger LeaAnn Dearman will discuss potential website updates that will help promote businesses in Seabrook, including the potential for a buy local campaign.
The goal of Business Morning Brew is to bring members of the business community together and get their feedback about community and economic development in Seabrook. At each meeting the SEDC will gather an array of speakers who will give updates on current projects and also answer questions local business owners may have.
If you are a business owner in Seabrook and would like to attend the June Business Morning Brew please fill out the registration form located on the SEDC website at www.seabrookedc.com (click June Business Morning Brew under News & Events).
