Santa Fe ISD Board of Trustees

The Santa Fe Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to approve a half-day pre-kindergarten program for the 2012-2013 school year.

The school currently offers a full-day program, but only receives funding from the state for a half-day program.  Due to budget concerns, the district opted to reduce its pre-kindergarten offering to a half-day.  The district will also continue will offer its daycare program, "Creative Explorers".

The board voted to approve the purchase of inclusive playground equipment for R.J. Wollam Elementary.

The board voted to approve the purchase of a 2013, 53 passenger special needs school bus.

The board voted to approve the hiring of teachers for the next school year.  The item was discussed during an executive session.

All items were approved.  All votes were unanimous with Theresa Herzog absent.  Agenda
