Roy M. Inouye
Malloy & Son Funeral Home.

Roy M. InouyeRoy M. Inouye, 83, of Galveston, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012, at UTMB Hospital.  He was born March 10, 1929, in Kapaa Kauai, Hawaii.  Roy served in the US Coast Guard during World War II and then worked for the ILA for 30 years.  He then served for 17 years as a lieutenant for the Port of Galveston police force.  Roy was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel “Lila” Inouye and his brother and sisters in California and Hawaii.

He is survived by his children: Roy M. Inouye, Jr.; Susan Aleman and husband, Oscar; Eileen Inouye and husband, Robert; Carolyn Cano and husband, Martin; Andrew Inouye (Kayla); and devoted adopted grandson, Roy M. Inouye, III; grandchildren: Jessica, Michael, Bobby, and Ashley Hernandez; Vic Gonzalez, Jr.; Monica, Andrea, and Tina Cano; Enrique, Crystal, and Tina Inouye; Sienna Nichols; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Roy’s family will receive visitors beginning at 5:30 pm, Friday, May 25th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A memorial service will begin at 6:30 pm.
