NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGS TO BE HELD ON PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS
TO SH 6/FM 1960 FROM IH 10 to SH 249

Houston – The Texas Department of Transportation will conduct two public meetings regarding the proposed construction of raised medians along SH 6/FM 1960 from IH 10 to SH 249, which are intended to improve mobility and enhance safety on the two corridors. All interested citizens are invited to attend.  Two meetings are scheduled to give the public options for attending; the information presented will be the same at both meetings. 

The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Campbell Middle School, 11415 Bobcat Road, Houston, Texas 77064. The second meeting will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Kahla Middle School, which is located at 16212 West Little York, Houston, Texas 77084.

The meetings will be held in an open house format and exhibits including schematic plans will be available for viewing from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Representatives from TxDOT and the study team will be available to answer questions. 

Those interested in attending the public meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact the TxDOT Houston District Public Information Office at 713-802-5072, at least two days prior to the meeting. Since the public meeting will be conducted in English, any requests for language interpreters or other special communication needs should also be made at least two days prior to the public meeting.  TxDOT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs.

Written comments relative to the proposed project may be presented at the meeting or submitted to the Director of Project Development, Texas Department of Transportation, P.O. Box 1386, Houston, Texas, 77251-1386, on or before June 14, 2012. Comments may also be emailed to Hou-PIOWebMail@txdot.gov.
