Thursday, May 24, 2012

The east bound lanes of Tidwell Rd. between the Eastex Freeway and Lockwood have been shut down due to a chemical spill.

It appears to be some type of used oil product from a tanker truck. The Houston Fire Department responded to the report of a chemical spill in the 4100 block of Tidwell about 2:20 p.m. Currently, HFD Hazardous Material crews are working to identify the chemical and Public Works and Engineering sand trucks are on scene to assist with the clean-up.
