Pasadena City Council on Tuesday voted to appoint Pat Jones, Bill Welch, Jim Harris, Rick Guerrero, Dennis McCauley, Bruce Leamon and Jeff Wagner to the Crime Control and Prevention District Board.

The city council voted unanimously to approve the finance resolution, but deferred payment on a check to Cascade Engineering.

The city council voted unanimously to approve the hiring of new employees. The new employees are:

• Christina Espinoza – Library Assistant
  
• Guadalupe Gonzalez, Jr. - Parks Worker
  
• Gloria Martinez – Deputy Clerk in the Municipal Court
  

The city council voted unanimously to approve, on final reading, a $765,067 contract with McGriff, Seibels & Williams of Texas, Inc., for property insurance for the city.

The city council voted unanimously to approve, on final reading, an ordinance suspending the effective date of a rate adjustment proposed by CenterPoint Energy Entex on natural gas service.
