The Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre (BAHBT) will hold auditions for the BAHBT company and The Preludes, Tuesday, June 5th at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (17170 Mill Forest Road Webster, TX 77598).

Dancers 12 years of age and younger will audition at 4pm. Dancers 13 years of age and older will audition at 6pm. The auditions are separated by age, however, the Artistic staff will be considering the candidates for both the Preludes touring group, as well as, the Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre.

Please arrive early enough to allow for the time to complete the requested paperwork and prepare for your audition. Attire should be standard audition attire. For girls this includes a black leotard, pink tights, hair pulled back in a secure bun or ballet style, and EVERY DANCE SHOE YOU OWN. For boys this includes black tights, a fitted white shirt tucked in, socks, and EVERY DANCE SHOE YOU OWN.

The auditions will first consist of a standard ballet class (please be prepared with your pointe shoes, if you own them), followed by a tap combination, and a jazz combination. Please also be prepared to sing 16 bars of music acapella.
