HOUSTON — The two missing children that were subjects of a search by the Coast Guard and local agencies at Surfside Beach were found safe on the beach, Monday.

The Coast Guard received a report from the Brazoria County Sherrif's Department at approximately 4 p.m. that two boys ages 6 and 7 were missing at Surfside Beach.

The Coast Guard launched a Response Boat-Small from Station Freeport and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Houston to assist in the search.
