Floy Nell ClarkFloy Nell Clark, 85, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012, in Beaumont, Texas.

Nell was born June 5, 1926 in Mc Kaskill, Arkansas to the late William Hood and Delores Brown.

Nell was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the first female Beaumont Port Commissioner, member of several organizations: The Knife and Fork Club, Beaumont Womans Club, Texas Silver-Haired Legislature, Seafarers Center, Past Matron of Wisteria 823 and Desk and Derrick Club President.

She is survived by; sister, Ruby Hood Dowd; sons, Travis Leon Short II and spouse Christy, LeRoy Sherman Clark Jr. and spouse Mary, James Russell Clark and spouse Lisa; daughters, Leonelle Short Crow and spouse Wendell, Patricia Clark Peyton and spouse Virgil; grandchildren, Alexa Crow Dreyer, Leah Crow Raykovich, Kari Clark Bersano, Lance Clark and Alex, Hunter, Lillie and Walker Clark and 9 great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park
