Clean Galveston Back Garden Tour
by Jim and Lynda Guidry
Friday, June 01, 2012

The Clean Galveston Back Garden Tour is this weekend, featuring self guided tours of seven back yards on Galveston Island.

“We have several gardens that were pre-Ike,” said Robert Evans, chair of Clean Galveston in an interview with Guidry News Service at the Champagne Preview on Thursday. “The homeowners have now come back and planted.” Listen

This year's gardens are at 1417 Sealy, 1601 Ball, 1801 19th Street, 1726 21st Street, 1825 25th Street, 1103 33rd Street and 4706 P½.

“The homeowners will be present,” Evans said.  “You can ask them questions about the plantings and how they did certain things. It’s just a very good way to get ideas for your own garden.”

Tickets for the tour can be purchased online at CleanGalveston.org.
