Pasadena City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve, on first reading, a $227,472 contract with Prime Controls for an upgrade of the city's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System.
The contract is being performed through an interlocal agreement with the City of Sugar Land.
The city council voted unanimously to approve, on first reading, an expenditure of $74,800 for the purchase of a diesel generator from Cummins Southern Plains, LLC.
The city council voted 4-5 to defeat a motion to approve the recommended employment of Rogelio Benavides.
Darrell Morrison, Jackie Welch, Steve Cote and Mayor Johnny Isbell voted in favor of hiring Benavides, while Ornaldo Ybarra, Don Harrison, Pat Van Houte, Erv Brannon and Phil Cayten opposed the motion.
The city council voted 8-0-1, with Morrison abstaining, to approve the city's finance resolution, including payment of miscellaneous claims and invoices. A check payable to HTS, Inc. was deferred.
The city council voted unanimously to approve, on final reading, the extension of an annual contract with Pasadena Auto Collision for the purchase of vehicle body repair and painting services.
