Margarita M. Aleman, 75, of Galveston, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 11, 2012, at UTMB Hospital. She was born September 11, 1936, in Beeville, Texas, and moved to Galveston in 1975. Margarita worked in the cafeteria at UTMB for over twenty years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing for her family, and collecting Coca Cola memorabilia. She was a huge Lucille Ball fan and loved watching “Golden Girls.” Margarita was a member of Broadway Church of Christ and will be lovingly remembered as a very special mother and grandmother.
Margarita was preceded in death by her husband, Feliberto O. Aleman.
She is survived by her mother, Pilar Flores; sons, Oscar Aleman and wife, Susan; and Arthur Aleman; daughters, Anita Endlich, Angie Aleman, and Lorna Aleman; grandchildren: Denise, Jeremy, Cyndi, Jennifer and husband, Jason, Vic and wife, Ruby, Arty and wife, Juanita, Amy and husband, Jeremy, Richard, Amanda and husband, Michael, Anthony, Ivan, and Grayson; great grandchildren: Brooke, Courtney, Parker, Gabriel, Amber, Samuel, Michael, Kaela, Cheyenne, and Huntre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margarita’s family will receive visitors beginning at 5:30 pm, Friday, June 15th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
