Lakewood Yacht Club on Wednesday announced the winners of the Heald Bank Race, which was held in April on the Gulf of Mexico.


Lakewood Yacht Club racer Steve Hegyesi was the overall winner in the non-spinnaker class in the Heald Bank Race held in the Gulf of Mexico over the weekend of April 21-22. He is pictured with the perpetual trophy called the Navigator Trophy which is decorated with a sextant. Hegyesi’s sailboat is “La Dame Argentee’”, a Beneteau.

 

In the Heald Bank Race held over the weekend of April 21-22, Lakewood Yacht Club racer Bee Bedner won the Old Winch Trophy in his boat J boat “Stinger”, which is the overall spinnaker winner.
