METRO Police investigators arrested Carrier yesterday afternoon on outstanding warrants. The reported assault occurred on board bus route #2 in the 7600 block of Bellaire, Wednesday, June 13, at 12:56 a.m. 

The district attorney’s office has filed charges of sexual assault. The arrest occurred as a result of an intensive, coordinated effort between MPD investigators and alert operators. The bus was also equipped with cameras. Due to the ongoing investigation no other details about the case are being released at this time.

MPD wants to remind patrons that their safety, and that of employees, is priority. The agency will be stepping up its police presence in the area with both uniformed and plainclothes officers.  MPD also encourages patrons to be aware of their surroundings, and if they experience or witness any suspicious activity to alert authorities.
