The Arts Alliance Moves from Current Location Pending Relocation and Reorganization
The Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake will be vacating its longtime location at 2000 NASA Parkway in Nassau Bay at the end of June and take the summer months to fine-tune its strategy to better accomplish its mission of bringing arts and the community together.
“TAACCL’s new vision, entitled Destination…Art! is to make art a vital part of the community's economic well-being and vibrancy through connection, education and celebration of art,” said Dion McInnis, President of TAACCL’s Board of Directors. “We envision making Destination…Art! a “brand” that many arts organizations in the community can tap into to and create greater visibility for Bay Area overall.” McInnis added that TAACCL intends to be selective regarding the location of its future home. “We want to get the right place that allows us to offer classes on-site as well as at partners’ locations, and offers a venue for us to continue our new and successful Brown Bag luncheons,” he said.
TAACCL has assembled a team of board members and others who are actively looking at new options for a more goal-specific venue. “We are searching for a first class location with space for classrooms and meetings,” said longtime former Board member Sue Garman. “We want everyone to know that TAACCL continues despite these changes.”
Although TAACCL is sad to be leaving its current location, it is looking forward to a new and revitalized organization to return to a vibrant art community in Clear Lake. We thank you for understanding and for your continued support of TAACCL. For more information, please visit www.taaccl.org.
