Houston Public Library Central Library will be closed on Saturday, June 30th

The Houston Public Library (HPL) Central Library will be closed on Saturday, June 30, 2012 to repair damage from a recent plumbing leak. All programs scheduled at the Central Library on Saturday, June 30th have been cancelled and telephone reference services for HPL will be unavailable. The Central Library is expected to reopen for regular operations beginning Monday, July 2nd at 10 am. The Central Library is located at 500 McKinney, 77002, 832-393-1313.

The Houston Metropolitan Research Center, housed in the adjoining Julia Ideson Building, will open to the public for regular hours on Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm. However, the parking garage located below the Central Library will be closed. The Julia Ideson Building is located at 550 McKinney, 77002, 832-393-1662.
