Friendswood Fourth of July Celebration Road Closures and Parking

The Friendswood Fourth of July Grand Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4th. FM 518 (S. Friendswood Drive) between FM 2351 and Whispering Pines will be closed at around 9:45 a.m. and will remain closed until all parade traffic is off the roadway. The parade travels down FM 518 (S. Friendswood Drive) from Heritage to Stevenson Park.

The Evening Fireworks Program will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park. The fireworks extravaganza will begin around 9:20 p.m. Parking will not be available at Centennial Park. There will be a free shuttle from Clear Brook High School and Friendswood High School. Shuttle services begin at 6:30 p.m. Viewing is also available at HEB and 24 Hour Fitness parking lots.

Also, in preparation for the evening program at Centennial Park, both sides of FM 518 between Eagle Lakes Drive and Old Road and Falcon Ridge between Hawkhill and West Blvd will be zoned “No Parking.” Additionally, parking within the entire subdivision of the Lakes of Falcon Ridge, including both residents and non-residents, will be limited to parking on one side of the roadway only for all streets inside the subdivision to include: West Oak Drive, Falcon Lake Drive, Falcon Lake Circle, overlook Drive, High Ridge Drive, High Ridge Circle, Sparrow Drive, Cardinal Ridge Drive, West Lake Drive, West Lake Circle, Parkview Drive, Robin Ride Circle and Condor Drive. This will ensure that the roadways inside the subdivision remain open for Fire trucks, Ambulances and other emergency traffic. Vehicles that are blocking the roadways will be towed at the expense of the owner. Compliance will be strictly enforced from Tuesday, July 3 at 8:00 a.m. until Thursday, July 5 at 8:00 a.m.
