GALVESTON'S GRAND 1894 OPERA HOUSE PRESENTS
GLEN CAMPBELL - THE GOODBYE TOUR – JULY 8th

GALVESTON ISLAND, TEXAS  - The Grand 1894 Opera House proudly  presents the internationally- acclaimed solid gold, and multi-platinum-hit-maker Glen Campbell  - for just one incredible performance -Sunday, July 8, at 7pm.  To be accompanied on stage by his two sons and daughter, Campbell’s special “Goodbye Tour” will celebrate his life and music with some of his most popular songs and personal reminiscences. What is especially significant is that Galveston Island was chosen as just one of a few select sites throughout the U.S. and the world where he will perform.  And, what better venue than “Galveston, Oh Galveston” for him to bid farewell to his audiences.

Campbell’s career began at the ripe old age of 4 when he picked up a guitar. He was a natural. Son of an Arkansas sharecropper, he was one of twelve children. He played his way to L.A. and quickly became one of the most sought after guitarists, all the while unable to read music.

Campbell, who continues his public battle with Alzheimer’s, has worked tirelessly to create a greater public awareness of a disease that has touched and saddened so many lives throughout the world.  He will certainly be missed in the music world and all the more reason fans won’t want to miss this performance. Together with his son Shannon (playing guitar), his son Cal (drums), and his daughter Ashley (on banjo), Campbell will present a concert filled with music of lost loves, loneliness, star-studded rodeos, and of course the song about our beautiful Galveston Island.

Ticket prices are $30 to $95. Call for pricing on Box Seats. Special discounts for group and senior tickets may be available. For information about this and other performances scheduled, contact The Grand's Box office at 409.765.1894, 800.821.1894, or visit The Grand's website at www.thegrand.com. The theater, located at 2020 Postoffice Street in historic downtown Galveston, is recognized as "The Official Opera House of the State of Texas."  All major credit cards accepted.
