AIC SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES AS9100 REVISION C REGISTRATION
Company’s Safety and Mission Assurance Support Services Contract Achieves
Standard for Quality Management
Houston - Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] today announced that its Safety and Mission Assurance Support Services contract has successfully completed AS9100 Revision C registration. The quality management system applies to the Houston location, which provides support to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC).
AS9100 is an international standard directed at aviation, space and defense organizations with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction by consistently providing safe and reliable products and services that meet or exceed customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The transition audit covered the quality management system, management responsibilities, all aspects of service realization, and monitoring and measurement across the program.
Under the Safety and Mission Assurance Support Services contract, SAIC provides safety, reliability, maintainability and quality for the International Space Station, payloads and other items prepared for flight at JSC. SAIC also helps address technical and process challenges, future programs, and new technologies while supporting the White Sands Test Facility near Las Cruces, N.M.
