Scholarship Winners





Galveston College student Cynthia Chronister is congratulated by Dr. Myles Shelton for receiving the Joan Cannady scholarship. Chronister is majoring in Criminal Justice.











Galveston College student Manuel Garcia is congratulated by Dr. Myles Shelton, President of Galveston College. Garcia, who is majoring in the two year degree for Industrial Systems, was awarded the John Parker Davie Scholarship.









Joe Huff, Director of Institutional Advancement and the GC Foundation, shakes hands with Galveston College student Marques Johnson. Johnson was awarded the Industrial Materials 50th Anniversary scholarship.

Scholarship winner Cheng Yan Ping is congratulated by Galveston College President Dr. Myles Shelton on receiving the Rudy Tomjanovich Scholarship. Ping, a native of China, has been attending Galveston College since the fall of 2011.










Galveston College President Dr. Myles Shelton congratulates Gina Wilcox on being awarded the Greater Texas Foundation Scholarship. Wilcox is majoring in General Studies at Galveston College and she plans a career in international business.

Ramos and Cantu both work at Hometown Bank and are pursuing degrees in Maritime Administration and Business Administration respectively.
