Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and woman following an apparent murder-suicide incident at 6250 Westward about 6:45 p.m. last Friday (July 13).

The identities of the female victim and male suspect are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Chaney and I. Ulloa reported:

The suspect and victim were located in a storage unit at the above address, a space the suspect used as a mechanic shop.  It appears the male shot the woman and then himself.  Investigators were told the two were in a dating relationship.
