Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott in Friendswood Campaigning for Dr. Greg Bonnen
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is making an appearance in Friendswood to publicly endorse and campaign for Dr. Greg Bonnen, candidate for House District 24.
General Abbott is in town on the second day of Early Voting to urge voters to get out and vote for Dr. Greg Bonnen. This is General Abbott’s first visit to the district in order to campaign for Dr. Bonnen.
The public appearance will take place during a press conference on Tuesday, July 24, at 2:00 pm at the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce, 1100 South Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546.
Bonnen received 45% of the Primary Election vote, narrowly missing winning without a runoff.
General Abbott, who will be headlining a press conference on Tuesday, said, “If you want to protect Texas from Obamacare, join me in supporting Dr. Greg Bonnen for State Representative. I know Greg will stand by me in fighting for Texas against the overreaching arm of Pres. Obama’s administration. Dr. Bonnen is a proven conservative with the experience, leadership and values that will help Texas families and businesses to succeed. I am pleased to endorse Greg Bonnen and encourage voters in District 24 to vote for him on July 31st.”

General Abbott is in good company, joining a host of groups and individuals who have put their support behind Dr. Bonnen’s campaign. Previous endorsements include local State Senators Dan Patrick and Joan Huffman, Texas Right to Life, Young Conservatives of Texas, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Texas Association of Realtors, Texas Medical Association, Texas Hospital Association, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Association of Business, Texas Civil Justice League, and the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT).
Dr. Bonnen and his wife, Kim, have lived in Friendswood for more than a decade with their two daughters. In addition to being a successful neurosurgeon and founding partner of Houston Physicians’ Hospital, Dr. Bonnen is the founder and President of the Texas Brain and Spine Center.
