Sunday, July 22, 2012

Deputies responded this morning Sunday, July 22, 2012,at 2:30 am to a 911 call of a 52 year old white male who threatened a taxi driver with a knife in the  25000 Northwest freeway

The male was dropped off at his residence by a taxi driver.  Upon exiting the vehicle he reached into his pocket as if to pay the driver he produced a knife and threatened the driver.

The driver fled the scene and the male entered his residence where he had a confrontation with family members. The family member left the residence leaving the male alone in the home.   The male was highly intoxicated.  Deputies responded to the home and ordered him to exit the home. The male refused and discharged a weapon in the home.   The deputies set a perimeter around the home and members of the Harris County Sheriff’s High Risk Operations Unit were deployed. 

The HROU members were able to set up talks with the individual and he was taken into custody without incident.

Charges are pending at this time.  Any other information will be released as it is obtained.
