Residents of the Port Acres subdivision of Port Arthur were evacuated from their homes Saturday night following a pipeline fire that was caused by a lightening strike near the intersection of West Port Arthur Road and 60th Street.

There were no injuries reported but many residents stayed with relatives overnight and returned home this morning.
