Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to reappoint Commissioner Eddie Arnold as primary voting member and Director of Engineering Don Rao as alternate member on the Regional Transportation Planning Committee for 2012-2013.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to grant permission to the Indigent Health Clinic of Southeast Texas, Inc. to lease a portion of its building space that is not required for the clinic’s operations.

The commissioners court tabled action regarding a burn ban order for the county.  There currently is no burn ban in place for the county.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve specifications in order to receive bids on a proposed 200,000 gallon elevated water storage tank in Hamshire.  The project will be funded by a Texas Department of Rural Affairs grant administered through the Texas General Land Office.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve Sonic Automotive’s option to extend the lease term of Hangar 7 at Jack Brooks Regional Airport.  The lease will be extended for a period from September 1 of this year through August 31, 2015.
