Pasadena City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to call a public hearing for August 7 to receive input from the public regarding the proposed budget for the Crime Control and Prevention District for FY2013.
The hearing will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Pasadena City Hall.
The city council voted to approve, on first reading, an additional $30,000 contract with Lockwood, Andrews & Newmam, Inc. to assist the city in preparing engineering analysis of various eligible projects identified under the Hurricane Ike Recovery Program through the Texas General Land Office.
The city council voted unanimously to approve, on final reading, a $143,630 contract with Zarinkelk Engineering to provide engineering services for sanitary sewer rehabilitation projects at Shaw Street, Houston Avenue, Bramley Drive, Spencer to Skylark and the Pasadena Terrace Subdivision.
The city council voted to approve the publication for bid notices for demolition of the Trinity Courtyard Apartments at 622 Preston Road, and a request for qualifications for a construction manager at risk.
Council Member Pat Van Houte said there had “been some complaints about Civil Concepts and the number of jobs they have had as construction manager at risk” and that the request for qualifications was an opportunity for other companies to apply.
All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Darrell Morrison absent from the meeting. Agenda
