The Seabrook Economic Development Corporation hosted cities from around Bay Area Houston yesterday, July 25, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., for an Economic Development Training Seminar.

Russell Gallahan with the Texas State Comptroller’s Economic Development and Analysis Division gave a presentation to area council and board members about Texas economic development law, economic development incentives and how cities may utilize the Hotel Occupancy Tax in compliance with Texas law.

Cities from Bay Area Houston who attended this seminar included the City of Clear Lake Shores, the City of Webster and the City of Seabrook.

The Seabrook Economic Development Corporation hosted the seminar so new council and board members would receive the necessary training needed to carry out their responsibilities.
