The Hitchcock Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to approve a collegiate high school agreement with College of the Mainland for the 2012-2013 school year.
The program allows high school students to gain college credit for coursework prior to their graduation from the district. Through dual-credit courses, students can obtain a diploma and a two-year college degree at the same time. College of the Mainland Collegiate High School Program
The board voted unanimously to approve the technology resources acceptable use and Internet safety policy.
The board voted unanimously, following an executive session discussion, to hire four teachers recommended for the next school year.
All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with trustees Estelle Holmes and Pat Turner absent.
