NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING TO BE HELD ON PROPOSED EXTENSION OF PEARLAND PARKWAY
Houston – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the City of Pearland will conduct a public meeting regarding the proposed extension of Pearland Parkway from approximately 500 feet east of Oiler Drive to Dixie Farm Road.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Pearland High School in the Cafeteria, 3775 South Main Street, Pearland, Texas, 77581. The meeting will be held in an open house format from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Representatives from TxDOT and the study team will be available to answer questions.
The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input on the proposed extension of Pearland Parkway in the City of Pearland. The existing Pearland Parkway roadway, adjacent to the project limits, is a four-lane divided facility. The proposed project would consist of a four-lane divided facility with a bridge crossing at Cowart’s Creek.
In addition, there would be a pedestrian and bike trail located along the north alignment of the proposed project. The proposed project is approximately 1-mile in length.
Those interested in attending the public meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact the TxDOT Houston District Public Information Office at 713-802-5072, at least two days prior to the meeting. Since the public meeting will be conducted in English, any requests for language interpreters or other special communication needs should also be made at least two days prior to the public meeting. TxDOT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs.
Written comments relative to the proposed project may be presented at the meeting or submitted to the Director of Project Development, Texas Department of Transportation, P.O.
