August Sales Tax Revenues
The City of Seabrook has collected this month’s revenue from the State Comptroller’s Office. The total amount of revenue received was $282,378.76.
This month’s figure reflects a 2.45% increase or a $7,857.68 increase from August 2011.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2011-2012 is down 2.54% or a $61,621.39 decrease from last year’s total at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales revenue is $2,449,062.47.
Seabrook’s sales tax is broken up into three funds; General Fund (51%), Economic Development Corporation (25%) and the Crime Control District (24%). The June revenue breakdown is as follows:
- General Fund - $143,743.62
- Economic Development Corporation Fund - $71,871.80
- Crime Control District Fund - $66,763.34
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; August collection is based on June sales.
